Troop 172
We are members of the Gila River District of the Grand Canyon Council BSA, and are chartered by the American Legion Post 64. Our goal is to aid our scouts in developing high moral and ethical values while training them in life skills.
This is a boy-run troop with youth leaders elected by the boys. The adults are advisors and provide leadership, while assuring the programs are safe and within BSA guidelines. Click through our site to learn more about our troop.
Our troop meets weekly on Monday nights at 7pm at the Dayspring Church on Elliot just west of McClintock. We hold outdoor activities including camping, hiking, and more approximately once per month.
“Scouts is a program designed to build leadership and responsibility through a structured program of activities with a strong outdoor component”
